Maimon is a "Natural Monument" in the Dominican Republic; these are areas protected by the Government due to having unique natural aspects or a significant cultural value including caves, areas with monuments or ruins of historical value

Bayahibe
Bayahibe Beach, a public beach, is located less than a mile from the town center, and Dominicus Beach is in about three miles distance. In the vicinity of Bayahibe and Dominicus Beach, numerous large resorts are located. 
Cabarete
Cabarete is a town in the Puerto Plata province of the Dominican Republic, noted for its tourism and beaches. Cabarete Bay has been the location of professional Kitesurfing competitions, and nearby Playa Encuentro is among the most popular surfing beaches in the Caribbean.
Cabarete is located on Camino Cinco approximately 11 miles (17.7 kilometers) from the Airport of Puerto Plata (POP).

Luperon
Luperón is a town in the Puerto Plata province of the Dominican Republic. It lies in the north of the country and is a small tourist center with one all-inclusive hotel and a coastal bay. The town was formerly known as Blanco (White) or Pueblo Blanco (White Town), possibly after the many Spaniards who came to trade timber. Due to its shape and location, Luperon bay is ideal for sheltering from hurricanes, and many boats anchor there during the hurricane season.
Playa Dorada

Saona Island, located nearby, is popular for scuba diving.
Sosua
Sosúa is a small town in the Puerto Plata province of the Dominican Republic. Located approximately 4 miles from the Puerto Plata International Airport (POP), the town is accessed primarily by Camino Cinco, or Highway 5, which runs much of the length of the country's North coastline. The town is divided into three sectors: El Batey, which is the main section where most tourists visit, Sosua Abajo, and Los Charamicos.
