China

ChinaThe Republic of China advocates cultural renaissance in oriental tradition. Its ancient civilisation has impeccable impact over East Asian regions. China is an upholder of the oldest continuous civilisation of the world. Its cultural sanctity is more than six millennia old that spans across East Asia. This country is home to great religions, customs and traditions that have been adopted by the neighbouring nations like Japan, Korea and Vietnam since centuries. The seething history of over 5,000 years has made China one of the greatest travel destinations of all times. There is just so much to unravel here.

Night Life

China has gone through extensive transformations in the last two decades. The country hardly knew the term 'nightlife' earlier. It has now grown so much that it beats many developed nations through its stylistic nightlife. Karaoke is the most sought after nightlife activity of China. The trends of Movieoke and Acrobat are the current hot activities.

Dice games are the preferred choice of the Chinese. Bars arrange several combinations of dice and drinking. Discos and clubs are still in their initial phases here, and hardly match with their Western counterparts. The southern resorts of China are well established and better than the northern areas.

Shopping

Chinese are shopper mongers. The country has had tremendous development in high rise and shiny shopping malls in the last one decade. Many branded stores have their presence here that develops competition in the market. The government has been controlling over them by setting consumer prices. There is bleak chance for any planned monopoly of shop owners under such rules.

But at times government mechanism fails, and it is the travellers who become easy prey for the traders, who keep two-tier pricing policies. They have one price for Chinese and another, the higher one, for tourists. You should be alert and shouldn't pay more than the actual price.

Sports & Activities

China is famous for outdoor activities, jagged mountains, winding rivers, lofty plateaus and silent valleys. Tourists can enjoy cycling, learn some martial arts, Scuba diving and snorkelling. The onshore winds make kite flying an exciting option here. Kite flying is extremely popular and common in China with variety of designs that range from simple square kites to elaborate six metre long dragon kites.

Tourism

China allocates huge amount of money to develop tourism industry. It has wonderful parks, lakes and gardens. Kung-fu shows, kite-flying lessons and boat trips are highly appealing here. Puppet theatres and toboggan runs are world-famous in China.

Beaches

This country has wonderful beaches in the Asian region. China possesses one of the longest coastlines in the world, and it shows. The palm-fringed beaches are situated in the southern portion of the land. Holidaying tourists head towards the delightful island of Hainan in the southern tip of China for enjoying the beach and indulging in water-based activities.
