Soldeu
Soldeu ski resort is situated in the North Eastern part of beautiful Andorra. Soldeu stands at a height of 2,000 metres and most of the slopes are located facing north. There is a wide choice of ski runs in the resort. The higher area of the resort comprises straight, broad, sunny views and the lower area consists of winding, narrow and fun runs through the woods.
Soldeu ski resort is best suited for the beginners. The ski schools do a great job at teaching the nuances of skiing and are rated among the best in Andorra. The ski runs pose little challenge to the intermediates and the expert skiers, with the exception of few challenging descents. Despite being ideal for the amateur skiers, Soldeu has been the venue for many competitions, every season. The resort has a few first class mogul slopes.

The snow reliability in the resort is good since there are 244 snow guns for making snow, and that creates enough snow for all the ski runs. The lift system of Soldeu is also consistently upgraded. The resort has a lift that links Soldeu to Pas de las Casa and Grau Roig. This has constituted into a ski area that has over 150 km of piste.
For those interested in sports like ice-skating and tennis, Soldeu offers enough opportunities to indulge themselves. The ski resort is home to many hotels, apartment complexes, heavy traffic and a gamut of shops. Soldeu also has a good choice of bars and discos for the travellers who wish to party all night.

The rustic looking village of Soldeu is traditionally built and has the most unpretentious and relaxed atmosphere. The gondolas offer swift access to the slopes in the ski area from Sporthotel Village. Free Ski bus service links all the resorts belonging to the Grandvalira area inclusive of El Tarter and Soldeu.

An indoor crèche is specially arranged for non-skiing children belonging to 2-4 age groups. The crèche timing ranges between 10 am and 12 pm, 2 pm and 4 pm. During the lunchtime, the parents must collect their children. Parents are charged £82 for a child, for 5 days. The crèche is open Monday-Friday. Pre-book through Neilson.

Free hotel-run children's club is set up for kids aged between 4 and 12 years exclusively for the boarders at the Sporthotel Village, Sporthotel and Sporthotel hermitage and Spa.

Ski Kindergarten is best for kids belonging to 4-6 years of age, since skiing tuition is provided there. 15 hours of childcare and tuition is provided for five days, in a week. The Kindergarten functions between 10 am and 12 pm, 2 pm and 4 pm. The service is priced at £101 per child for five days. The service can be pre-booked through Neilson.
