The combined Skii area of El Tarter and Soldeu of 86 kms has 56 slopes and is 2560 metres in height. The resort offers high quality and convenient accommodation.

Ski school at El Tarter offers exceptional training with its talented group of English speaking instructors. The school offers customised teaching programs for the young children. The children get the pleasure of learning skiing from the Mickey Snow club. Apart from this, Après-Ski is a quiet activity in El Tarter compared with the other resorts. Unlike El Tarter, Soldeu resort is renowned for the wild club and bar scene. Soldeu resort is just one mile away from El Tarter and tourists can indulge in skiing and partying at the same time. The resort is equipped with most advanced lift system and excellent piste conditions that can accommodate more than 38,000 skiiers per hour. El Tarter is widely acclaimed for housing the high speed gondolas. Gondolas carry 10 people to Pla de Riba Escorxada and the chairlifts take them to intermediate slopes. Visitors to El Tarter can delight themselves with an array of activities like snowshoeing, dog sledding, snowmobiling and igloo building.

Freestyle camp at Grandvalira

The Ski schools in Grandvalira offer special freestyle camps. The video analysis and top notch coaching facilities allows the skiers to improve their craft immensely. Child care facilities

• An indoor crèche is specially arranged for non-skiing children belonging to 2-4 age groups. The crèche timing ranges between 10 am and 12 pm, 2 pm and 4 pm. During the lunchtime, the parents must collect their children. The parents are charged £82 for a child, for 5 days. The crèche is open Monday-Friday. Pre-book through Neilson.
• Free hotel-run children's club is set up for kids aged between 4 and 12 years exclusively for the boarders at the Sporthotel Village, Sporthotel and Sporthotel hermitage and Spa.
• Ski Kindergarten is best for kids belonging to 4-6 years of age since, skiing tuition is provided there. 15 hours of childcare and tuition is provided for five days, in a week. The Kindergarten functions between 10 am and 12 pm, 2 pm and 4 pm. The service is priced at £101 per child for five days. The service can be pre-booked through Neilson.
