What Do Airlines Say About Swine Flu?

The outbreak of Swine flu has brought serious problems for airline industry of Mexico, U.S., and other surrounding countries. The airlines industry as a whole has been facing problems due to the H1N1 virus outbreak. The influenza is having an increasing effects on the air travel safety around the world, especially in Mexico.

Due to the epidemic, people have almost stopped traveling to Mexico. The pandemic has even prevented infected passengers to travel to the other parts of the world, as many of them are quarantined.

Airline carriers that include American and the Continental assert that they are keeping a constant watch on the situation. The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) is working with most of the major airline companies to check the passengers for swine flu symptoms.

The airlines say that, they are allowing all the travelers from or to the Mexican cities to reroute or reschedule their flights without paying any additional charges. Most of the U.S. Airlines say that, they are monitoring the situation with the CDC.

The airlines reported that the people, who are traveling to the affected areas need to be aware of the illness hazards and take necessary precautions accordingly.

Airlines have reported that there have been frequent calls from worried passengers, but still there are less cancellations. Some of the airlines have said that the people, who cancel their trips to Mexico will not be charged. Airline employees are being trained to deal with the problems of swine flu on board.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) says that the airlines are inclined to the deal with the problem of swine flu occurrence. However, experts state that, the airline industry will face financial problems because of swine flu.

If you wish to travel, then see to it that the cabins in your flight are safe and hygienic with proper air filtration systems. In fact, the airlines have been working hard with their respective federal agencies to eradicate the problems of swine flu and make the flights safe.

The airlines around the world are strictly suggesting travelers to practice better hygiene habits and avoid traveling when they are ill.

Thus, the airline industry has taken great care of people traveling to affected as well as non-affected areas. Though, they are facing financial problems, as the people are not traveling much, the airlines are still trying their best to deal with the problem of swine flu.
